The Opportunity:

As a Domain Owner Associate – SAP Master Data Management, you will play a key role in establishing and implementing a best-in-class master data management business process and technology solution, ensuring data is governed, defined, accurate, high quality, and meets business need.

As an individual contributor, you will support partnership efforts with cross functional stakeholders within the CFO and IT organizations, 3rd party consultants, and external service providers, to refine strategy, define business processes/requirements, and identify/implement a best-fit technology solution. 

Key areas of focus are, but not limited to, the following:

  • Master data governance
  • Data integration, quality, and identification
  • Data flow and transformation
  • Maintaining a single source of the truth and reconciliation
  • Data supply chain
  • Security and controls

Minimum Qualifications:

  • BS in Data/Business Analysis, Accounting, Finance, IT, Computers, or another similar field
  • 3-5 years of experience working with Informatica MDM and/or SAP MDM software, including hands-on exposure in configuration and/or development
  • 2 full life-cycle MDM software implementations experience
  • 3-5 years of data/business analysis experience
  • Experience in documenting technical and business documentation, including meeting minutes
  • Detail-oriented with demonstrated oral and written communication skills

The Ideal Qualifications:

  • MBA/CPA or equivalent preferred
  • Full life-cycle SAP MDM or Informatica MDM/Finance 360 implementation experience preferred
  • Experience in other MDM technology solutions
  • Knowledge of US GAAP, insurance statutory accounting/reporting and/or experience in Financial Institutions preferred
  • Experience working with senior management and influencing decision making
  • Strong multi-tasking skills and ability to adapt to change
  • Experience with proactively taking ownership of projects and drive to completion
  • Experience working in a Finance transformational setting and driving change
  • Experience sharing insights to identify and implement improvements
  • Ability to Initiate and/or lead increasingly complex projects and continuous improvement activities that may span beyond the scope of own team
  • Ability to work across levels, from staff to executive management
  • Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in future
  • Travel between Boston and Springfield required

The Impact:

  • Accountability
    • Support the partnership with teams in CFO (Treasury, FP&A, Actuary, Accounting, Investments, Data Mgmt. etc..) and IT organizations, 3rd party consultants, and external service providers, to deliver and execute on:
      • Defined MDM strategy and requirements
      • Establishment and implementation of business processes
      • Tool identification and implementation
    • Support the delivery and execution of both short-term and long-term initiatives within Corporate Finance & Controllership domain
  • Business Acumen
    • Develop comprehensive understanding of data integration and flow
    • Assist with the formulation of the strategy and requirements to meet aggressive timelines
    • Partner with subject matter experts to drive conflict resolution, as needed  
  • Inclusion
    • Partner with teams in CFO and IT organizations, 3rd party consultants, and external service providers, to deliver a best-in-class MDM solution
    • Support the partnership with stakeholders to establish agreed upon MDM solution requirements and tool selection
    • Support the partnership with others in establishing effective governance, key timelines, milestones, and deliverables for successful initiative execution
    • Assist coordination/collaboration efforts across Finance, enterprise technology, internal audit, enterprise risk, other business units & external audit, as appropriate

    • Assist with understanding data integration and data flows from many source admin systems, planning appropriately for changes and prioritizing and implementing enhancements
    • Assist efforts to establish and enhance governance and internal control procedures and maintain and consistently improve upon a strong control environment

    • Support Use Case formulation, As-Is/To-be analysis, product demos, Joint Application Development (JAD sessions) to help understand processes, tool capability and business benefits
    • Assist collaboration efforts with teams within Controller and IT Organizations, and 3rd party consultants to identify of best practices and drive issue resolution efforts
  • Leading Others
    • Support communication management efforts for stakeholders and project team members
    • Assist with conducting/facilitating project meetings with project leadership & external stakeholders with ownership of meeting agendas/minutes, project documentation and Key decisions, issues/action
  • Agility
    • Support tool and business process changes in alignment with accounting policy within the Controllers Organization for evaluation/implementation of new GAAP/statutory reporting needs
    • Provide technical and tactical support to peer teams such as SAP GL, SAP Data Analytics, SAP FPSL, and other Project team members
